I think we can agree we are 25% into the event, as Issue #2 launches today. Seems like a good time for a reality check....
My observations:
- game mechanics are excellent so far
- lots of items from the forum wish list finally appearing
- neighbor visits pay off well without penalty for how many you have, how often they log in, or where your name is alphabetically
- story line is fun
- play action is diverse and will continue to change up
- plenty of free, earnable prizes
- plenty of exclusive content for premiums, separate enough that freemiums don't feel penalized if they can't get them
- remarkably crash-free
There may be some exceptions due to individual issues EA couldn't possibly foresee, but the general attitude of the forum feedback seems to support the idea that we are all enjoying the event so far, and it could warrant - Best. Event. Ever.
So it seems like the long delay before this event was released was really worth the wait.
So maybe, just maybe, in the future, when there's a long delay, we can all agree to wait patiently with excited anticipation, rather than creating dozens of negative and frustrating threads demanding new content like a legion of Veruca Salts?
How about a poll to see if anyone else agrees...
P.s. not looking for defense of previous comments, let's keep it light n' fun. It's a refreshing change of pace in here.
