can you change your username?

I've seen it, as well, but it may be an "at your own risk" short of thing. There are reports of lost towns after changing.

i changed without issue a month ago on one of my accounts.

Download origin and go into user settings.


oddly it took a half hour for my name change to show up so don't flip. your friends will see the new name even though it may not show up yet for you. log out and back in on TSTO after you make the change.

I changed my name on my freemium account. I don't remember quite how, it was a year ago, but I know I couldn't do on my ipad. I had to download the origin program thingie for my computer and I think it was in the settings. I didn't have any problems with it.

Unless it's *really* important to you, suggest leaving it as it is.

To do it I believe you need to change your Origin ID, this would have consequences if you play any other EA games on PC, Xbox, PlayStation etc.

thanks guys. I'm downloading origin on my pc now.. I don't play any other origin games so I should be ok.

I changed mine via Origin. After adding a double zero in front, I get quite a bit more visiting neighbors.

Word of warning!!!

When I changed my name it immediately locked me out of my ea forum account. They should have a warning for that but didn't.

So if your game name and forum name are the same be prepared to lose your forum acct and be forced to start over as a noob with no profile pic.

Maybe there is a way to get them to change your forum name before you try to change your game name but then I would be afraid that doing so would immediately lock you out of your game in the same way it locked my forum acct.
