do you have a flight out already in the U.S.? You can't have two flights in the same country. Once the first one is done, the correct one will show up to fulfill the task.
I thought so as well. Until my flight from Woodstock returned and nothing new popped up. My assumption is that it won't actually pop up until ALL flights have returned which means I spent 4 hours on flights with no quest.
That is the definition of a "bug" as I'm sure that is not what the developers intended to occur since I can't know the new destination prior to receiving it.
The trick is to not send your last available person on a trip. When you get down to one person on the flight list, send that person on a regular task. This will re-populate your flight list. If you clear your flight list by sending everyone out, you have to wait until they all return or at least until Norbert's task is done (if you were able to send one on the correct flight). Yes, it's kind of buggy - they should only have one destination per country or allow multiple flights to the same country.
Agreed. That it's buggy. Saving the person only matters if I can log in every 20 minutes to keep sending more people. And actually doing so gives you even more of a chance of screwing up the next destination.
Keeping the list active by holding back at least one flight and sending one of the people on task will help as long as you can log in more than once every four hours, which I presumed you were doing or you shouldn't have run into this particular problem. In the end, while it can be a bit of a pain, it shouldn't cost you any prizes since you should have plenty of time to get another round of flights out. Perhaps to be safe, if you're not sure where the next flight is going to (you can check the full list in LPN's event post), then just don't send anyone on a flight to the countries with multiple destinations like the U.S.
Again, not saying that it isn't a little buggy, but the work around is pretty easy. If you really feel the need to complain about the developers, then feel free to talk to EA and see if they will compensate you for the time lost. Best of luck!- - - - -

Naw. Compensation is silly for a free game I spend countless hours on. And I've found in the past that I can still get the prize tomorrow morning if I already sent the person before the day ended.
My post was originally just to point out a bug, vent a little frustration, and see if others had seen the same (honestly the timer resetting was much more of a concern but it only did it twice).
You and the original reply were the only ones who tried to help/voiced your experience as well. The rest of this thread disappeared into trolling and policing sadly.
I appreciate the help. Especially since you came back even after all the other junk.
Thanks.
Now. If SAN FRANCISCO (is that better?) doesn't pop up when my flights come back in, then there's a bigger problem."muerrto;1576108" wrote:

No problem, but I should point out a couple things. First, this didn't start with the down time yesterday, it's been like this since the event started. Learned to avoid it pretty quickly since I had it happen in the first week.
Second, I think that @4kidsandacatdog was actually trying to help, but maybe didn't express it as well as could be hoped. Maybe I'm wrong, but that was my take on it anyway.
Hope you're off to SF (OK, here I mean San Francisco, not Springfield :) ) and no other problems show up!"HappyGamer73;1576114" wrote:

^^ Excellent reply.- Ok.. I got this!
Heads up.. you need to send someone to SAN FRANCISCO, (That is a City near Silicon Valley) If you do that you will complete the task! :)
I hope this helps ... (Don't worry about thanking me, geography is not everyone's "thing".. you are probably skilled in other things, like making new friends or managing anger.)
