Some of you sound like you're missing the point of this particular contest. Here's why it's focused:
1. It IS early, and i KNOW some people don't decorate an area until the end of the event. So I'm removing the expectation of building all around the stage specifically to allow more people to participate.
2. Anyone with excess donuts can build a fancy huge area. But those of us on donut budgets may not. It's easy to be creative with unlimited resources. So the band name, config and song name offers a creative challenge that's donut-free.
3. Sometimes it's actually harder to work within tight parameters, vs having a completely blank canvas.

The contest is NOW OPEN. Hopefully many will participate but of course anyone is welcome to be merely a spectator.
