Difficult to clear hacks

I've had to move several buildings to clear friend hacks. Zooming in or out doesn't seem to help. I end up having to move the building to an open area of my town to clear it then move it back. It seems to happen a lot with the power plant particularly. Anyone else having this trouble?

    I tap under the green matrix-y icon, not on it. Not having much problem this way.

    But I definitely must collect any cash/revenue first. The rent money has priority layering over the event icon.

    Go through, get the cash, then go back for the matrix icon. Tap lower than it.
    And leave Norbert on 24hrs at the old folk's home.
