Well, the new update came this morning - removing the Thanksgiving balloons from the shops and adding the "Cool Brown House" quests to tie in with an upcoming episode. However, the fix to the Premium Items did not occur.
I ran Grampa on his never-ending "Tell Stories on the Couch" job. The base reward is $70. My Conform-o-meter is at 4.5% and I've got a raft of premium items that should give me a boost of 26% or so. I earned $74 which represents the Conformity bonus and nothing else.
I was waiting until this update to post this, in hopes that the rumored fix was true. Since it was not, I urge any players upset about this issue to contact iTunes. I reported this issue to them last week. I got a very kind response from a customer service rep there who informed me he was filing an official "request for investigation" against EA with iTunes. He gave me a link to a form so that I could do the same and urged me to share it with others. Here is a part of his response:
What I did for you is submitted a request to have this application investigated. Unfortunately, I can't guarantee when, or even if, we'll be able to make this a possibility, but I do know that Apple takes the requests and concerns of it's users very seriously, and submitting requests via feedback is one of the best ways to have one's voice heard. I also definitely suggest submitting a request of your own and urge you to send this link to any other users you might know who might be interested as the more requests that are received, the likelier that they may be implemented. http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.htm
I would encourage others to use this link and report the issue.
