So the update is basically another shot at these forums. Maybe if EA spent more time trying to develop a fun game and give us updates with decent content instead of getting butthurt with what they read on here and reddit, then we wouldn't complain. It's pretty sad when they put out at least 2 updates with dialogues about the forums when most the people who play the game don't visit the forums or reddit. Developers truly are worthless and out of touch.
My other posts took this off topic, but I do have a response. It should, in my opinion, be the FIRST action of a company to listen to the customers. Most TSTO players are not in the forum, but the forum is the one place in which EA can actually hear the "conversation" ...
When a company gets a letter from a customer, it is almost always negative, and rarely offers suggestions or ideas, with the exception of suggesting where the company can go, etc. Forums such as this one offer a company a treasure trove of input, an idea of what their most enthusiastic players want and don't want, and a way to discover in advance whether a planned product improvement is what the actual customer actually wants.
Please don't discourage them from exploring what we have to say. At its core, a "forum" IS the place for public exchange of ideas.
We may be a teensy portion of their customers, but we're the ones with the microphone. Anyone who wants can join us, and after today's quest, ALL players know there IS a forum.
I like knowing that they are given the time to get their heads out of their code and hear the humans. It must be fun for the programmers to know that what must be tedious work on their part is generating so much excitement. :)
I LOVE when they get all snarky at us.
