Thanks @wadebear and @1-Graham-S for doing the maths to put my ideas into context.
But wow! @wadebear, you're blowing through over 1000 donuts per week ? you must have a serious amount of returning content for that, I'm guessing that's a reasonably new game, which I guess makes sense if it's your #4.
Probably the best strategy for a game at that stage would be to ignore the new content and just grab the returning stuff cos it's always cheaper and then grab all the new stuff that you've passed on for a cut price when it returns.
So many different permutations of income, bonus, age of game etc, it's always one of those "how long is a piece of string?" questions.
