Yes, you are right...guess thats the way to go.... but if you clear certain gold prizes, easter baskets replace them. So you will eventually get 400 eggs (common, uncommon) for 500 gold eggs occasion...

Ok now my brain really is broken. I can't visualize this. Where are the extra 400 blue eggs coming from when you go back to your town? You gave them away to your neighbor for 200 pink eggs.
Please excuse me I'm up way past my bedtime.
But then the neighbor also put 400 blue eggs in your basket (basically giving them back to you) and got 200 pink. So you both get back your 400 blue and 200 free pink.
