Oh, wow. That is a problem. It's early days so I doubt there's a solution or workaround for that issue. This seems like a pretty big oversight on EA's part. I hope you get it worked out.

if you nuked KL, look in your storage for the other KL port if you don’t already have it out. placing the other KL station might be what you need

I think I had the Krustyland Entrance as part of a group in storage.

there are 2 KL points of entry, one to KL and one from KL. When you nuke, one goes into storage for some reason. When both are out then you can use them as teleporters, you can move from one to the other nearly instantly. just thought if the 2ndKL port is in storage that you might place it to be able to move on with your quest. Like @Muhsterino stated above is that it might be stored in a group, check there also besides just the usual storage
