Anyway, about 3-4 months ago I went to log in and the game "snagged" and I couldn't get into my town for about 2 days. When I could ALL of my friends were gone. Everything else was intact, and I added my wife back so the functionality is there.
Now the problem. This update I NEED friends to get all the unlockables for the "social" prizes. It hadn't been an issue until this point and as a completist, this is bugging me. If ANY regular players have open spots PLEASE add me so I can get this complete. It won't let me start a topic in the "finding friends" section, and the new thread that's linked at the top, I'm scared it will be too little too late.

I play daily during events and in the few times the events aren't active I play generally every other day.

If your goal is strictly to get the social prizes, all you need is one friend, and one that preferably has low-stat heroes. You can do all 3 of your daily fights against the same person.
On a side note, if anyone has a B-town with lightweight heroes just for this purpose, I'd appreciate a PM with the town name if you don't mind me beating up on your non-upgraded heroes! I will be away for part of this event so there will be days where I need to find easy pickings!
