I did a quick search but couldn't find my answer. Now that the large Feral monsters are in our towns, requiring four taps to destroy, has the spawn rate changed?

Really feels like few monsters now that the big ones have arrived. They seem to move more slowly as well which makes collecting them a little more tedious.
