I had issue with getting it to unlock and I did not nuke my town, so just finish up the open quests you have and eventually you'll free up the character needed to prompt the build task. It's annoying, because even though they say keep such and such character free and available, there could be another character that needs to be free and available too.

i have 3 wquests, hibbert's got shed part 5; a peerfectly cromulent job part 14 and count burns part. All of them needs hospital to be done, all of my characters are free, just walking around. Hospital is the only building left. Please help me if you can :)
Sorry for my english but I'm not from America/England.

This was my wife's problem too. She had 5 tasks that REQUIRED the hospital, and the last measure was to nuke the town. This is why I made the post. Her characters had been free for literally WEEKS and no prompt to build the hospital. The nuke was our last option next to contacting EA and possibly waiting 3-4 weeks for a response.

I did it as you said, but i had to do it twice. I have hospital, and everything works perfeclty, thanks a lot :)

GLAD IT WORKED! Hope everything goes smooth. Other than that little bug, both mine and my wife's Springfield has gone along fine.
