If you go to the EA site and fill out the customer relations stuff, there is an option to have them call you directly. I had this issue with the hospital too and tried all the posted advice (nothing worked). I first tried the customer service site and filled out a text box describing my issue asking for them to email me. I didn't hear back after 24 hours (Im impatient), so I went back on line and clicked on a box asking for a phone call. EA called 2 minutes later. Fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes, giving me the hospital in my inventory for free. Was great customer service. First time had that type of experience with an online game company.
I think due to the amount of people complaining about this issue, EA has gotten to the point where they're just forcing the hospital into people's inventory. Either they're too lazy to create a fix and release it as an update for others still experiencing this issue, or they actually can't fix the coding error so they're giving those players who contact them the hospital. It's a fix to an issue, but where's the fun in that? I like playing through the quests and the storyline, reading the dialogue to get the next building, but this way, you just skip to the next part in the game. I don't know about others, but I don't like missing any part of a story... Just feels incomplete (of course I know you can find the dialogue on other websites, but it's not the same...).
