Forced update but not playing

I stayed in Tap Ball for a couple of extra days for the donuts and stadium parts (now if I could just afford the land to put them all out...), as well as because of bandwidth issues (I'm on satellite and needed to update at night to avoid using up another big chunk our daytime bandwidth this month - several TV episodes didn't record on our DVR so I had to download them).

I put off initiating the Heights because I had some outstanding tasks from the Premium Characters I was able to get from the donuts in Tap Ball, so I did some of them first. Then I said 'What the heck', took a screen shot with my donuts showing and went ahead with it.

I have kept all the Heights buildings in the Heights and all the regular buildings in Springfield. I haven't bought any Premium Content (although Banana Dictatorship is whispering 'Buy me... Buy me...). I haven't stored any Heights buildings.

So far I haven't lost any donuts or buildings. (Crossing fingers...)

I'm continuing to play, but if I am fortunate to have the option. I lost about 80 donuts ... $5 ... When this all started ... About $10 worth of donuts remaining. I've been having an absolute, total BLAST for about 16 hours of playing time. I may lose the $10 more, but I expect a fix that will reimburse me for at least some of my $15. Maybe not. But a decent chance.

For me -- because I have the option- it is well worth it. :)

for what it's worth I dreamt I went through the tunnel last night, then 14 different sized rocks marched through some black some orange. Then I remembered about the glitch.

From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) the problems are related to moving buildings between SH and your town. So, if I actually am right for a change, you can play so long as you don't do that. ?

Plenty of people have reported losing donuts without moving any buildings. The problem seems to be with Springfield Heights in general. That tunnel is staying closed in my town until this is fixed.

They probably won't release a patch over the weekend. OTOH, I spent 210 donuts (I guess I lost those, but I gained Disco Stu and Banana Dictatorship) since SH opened. If they restore everyone's original number of donuts this becomes very beneficial to me.

I decided to go through the MT in my lowest level feeder town. No lost donuts yet but I am not enjoying crafting hell.

Do you think they will be able to restore everyones donuts back with a single patch? How would they know if you lost the donuts or just spent them? And what if someone gained donuts but the patch took them away to get to the original figure? Has there ever been a patch before like this? I haven't lost any donuts but if a patch was to come that would simply restore everyones totals I would like to take the opportunity to buy Disco Stu and Jasper but it would wipe out my donut total if it didn't work. This is a real dilema for me! Opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
