Forced update but not playing

I'm sticking to my guns. Not clearing the tunnel until they've patched an update fixing the donut problem.

Not going through the tunnel until the issue is fixed. My doughtnuts are earmarked for Halloween, and they will wait patiently until then.

Spent the majority of my donuts and went through the tunnel yesterday. So far, none of the remaining donuts have gone missing. I'm trying not to spend any of them or move anything through the tunnel, in case those are triggers for the loss. But who the hell knows, I might just be lucky.

I still haven't placed the oil rig. Is anyone else hanging in there? I was really hoping they'd have a fix by now.

Wife and I both started playing after the forced update. Been careful not to move any SF items to SH and have pretty much only bought land near the freebie buildings and on the beach and water. No problems with missing donuts so far.

Even spent some donuts on characters to help with crafting, but left those buildings in SH.

A bit like playing in a mind field, but how else are you gonna get tapped out?

I broke down and placed the oil rig and red blazer real estate, but I haven't opened the tunnel. I really want to but don't want to risk losing donuts. I bought a couple of boatloads when they were last on sale. I don't want to risk losing any of those plus the ones from tap ball.

I wish they would solve this problem. I really want to play.

Don't think any reasons have been confirmed as of yet. Just avoiding what other people mentioned as things they were doing as donuts went missing.

Keeping a close on them and considering additional land purchases soon as it's getting a bit crowded.

It hasn't been confirmed. In fact there have been several reports of losing donuts without moving anything.

I suspect the problem is triggered by something else. Perhaps spending donuts (accidental speed-up, limited time building, etc) or buying a certain plot of land in the Heights. Possibly even friend visits, considering how glitchy those have been. I'm avoiding spending any donuts or buying to much land in the Heights, especially by the far mountains. Also haven't been visiting neighbors. Sorry, neighbors. I want to visit, believe me. I'm also avoiding moving the buildings, just in case that is indeed the problem

(Btw, there are probably people who have spent donuts and not lost additional donuts, etc, but I'm more interested in whether anyone has lost donuts without spending any or without buying land near the mountains.)
