Forward thinking plans

I'm going to try and take some inspiration from this....

I started freemium just before the Sci-Fi event in August 2016, so haven't been at it as long as you, but like you, I have started out with a cramped middle ground, I tried to make a school zone, a shopping zone, main residential street, have Cletus's farm kind of separated, but it was all so cramped... you only have to look how I tried to make little zones from my 'Destination Springfield' prizes to see how cramped it was...

Since then I grinded my way up to 939 and then managed to get the pink circles flooding in...

Right now I've got nothing but dump zones and tennis courts outside of my main area

I have tried some designing, I put my Krustyland on the far side and there is a quickly abandoned 'Capitol City' zone..

I gave the Airport a go and placed a little space port near it for my rocket and space shuttles... made a new area for a couple of country/market things and tried to make a tennis centre...

I slowly move the odd building here and there and replace with something new from the YMB, but I don't seem to have the desire to empty that... there's so much stuff still in there for me to buy, but it's stuff I don't feel any kind of need or attachment too, I got things I couldn't get from events I participated in and couldn't afford at the time, also gathered quite a few characters I wanted... but other stuff just doesn't seem to be desirable.. maybe it's the fact I never played certain events, such as the casino event... or maybe it's the fact I'm suddenly not having to chase a multiplier bonus anymore after getting to 2400% with the tennis courts... if it suddenly went tomorrow, I wouldn't be that bothered to be honest... I made sure I got everything I wanted before now... And I also have a taskbook with over 130 tasks and a crammed inventory to go with it... so that's something I can start working on

I've a ways to go with land, although I never actually got round to spending the 100+ tokens I got from the nuking of KL ... I'm just glad I had bought all the KL land beforehand.... KL actually let me do something Springfield wouldn't... which was buy all the outside edges of land first, then fill in the middle parts... so was happy to complete that... and anyone who has me as a neighbour will probably now know why I have random strips of land coming from the mountains... I was buying the outer edges... until they moved... :lol:

As for the tennis courts... I want to plateau my bonus somewhere, maybe even drop it to 2000% so as I place items with a multiplier, will gradually remove them... A bit like when I first started with my Angel topiary field and minnow pond farm that was keeping my five star rating up!

I have decided to grind the Heights to get the last bit to 2 billion. It's a grind, coffee cups and polo fields, I don't see any quicker way.
I'm building track for a monorail update. I recently moved the Halloween area but Christmas now needs work.
Town 2 is a mess. I had it on a redesign but then the yearbook box hit. It's now half design and half staging warehouse so there is a lot to do there. It also has a hundred or so tennis courts to hide.
I lost some neighbours with a server glitch and am trying to figure out who the half dozen or so are.
I am at max cash and over 2000% multiplier in main town so resources are not an issue, second town needs a lot of land.

Everything in my town is exactly the way I want it. I just need a few more unique buildings to fill out some areas. It's satisfying not having an urge to overhaul things as I've done in the past, but it does mean that while there are no events active, and with the current item limit, then there is nothing for me to do. At all.

I'm a freemium player since the first Christmas event. I've finished this mini -event, cleared out the yearbook and have the last two quests finishing and am now busy spending my farmed donuts buying up the land so I can reorganise my town. I'm having an enforced day off playing today as our wi-fi mesh has gone down and to reset it means resetting the internet and hubby is working from home today and doesn't want to risk that until this evening!

Wow lucienleon519 and 4junk3000 very impressive, just as impressive is how you post those large pics.
I assume they weren't stitched, how did you do it.

1st -- Get my zoo planned and built up to a point, not enough room.

2nd -- Get most on 24 hr tasks, get money in, buy land, buying strips of land parallel to mountains from coast up to Land Token rows.
I think I am currently saving up 5.2 million to buy the 18th column, I think it's the 18th.
Tend to buy columns in one go.
Need land for zoo and reorganise SF, though SF perspective is some way off.

3rd -- Get recycling again, didn't realise there were donuts there.
I stopped it because I needed IGC and I thought this monorail would take forever.

The lag with metal recycling happens regardless of I&SL rides placement.
Reading these threads posters think it's the rides causing it, but I think it's a bug with metal recycling.

I had placed Indy 500 but without the stand as I thought that would help because the cars wouldn't be going round, WRONG, as soon as I started recycling, LAG the same as I&SL lag.
So I broke it, still lagged, stored it, still lagged.
So collect tax, relics, scratch R, Maggie's game, etc, send them to work wherever, metal recycling last of all then just put it down and walk away for at least an hour.

It don't return to normal till they got the thumbs up.

@4junk3000 you seem to have been able to run a road trough the mountains. How did you achieve that? Aside from tunnels, there is nothing the game lets me place there.

I'm glad to have finally moved my Casino area and my next plan is to move what was once my town centre to a more central location.

I might be among the few who welcome all this down time for redesigning, but I am really enjoying all the old content and extra land we have had this year. Not to mention the multiplier increase.

What would be great would be a Springfield Heights event that unlocks all the land beyond the mountains, maybe with a railway instead of the monorail and a river that reaches the sea. Dreaming is free. ;)

There was a glitch that allowed us to remove any and all ofthe mountains. They patched it but those brave enough to try it got extra land. There was great fear that when they patched it items on the forbidden land would be crushed. Those of us who parted the mountains benefitted.
