Go into your application manager, find active applications and exit the Tapped Out one. That closes it down completely and should give you the update.
I can't find it in settings. I scroll down and the only tsto thing that I can find is for the sound. I don't see anything to shut it down.
I'm not looking in game. I'm looking under settings on my iPhone main app page. The home page of my phone. I go to my phone settings. I don't see anything that says app manager.
