Grand canal houses
Just see that these houses placed next to a River add a kind of terrace on the river itself. Anything else new like this?

I'm still struggling with #5. Will the terrace only appear once I am able to craft a second house next to it? I keep moving #5 around in the water completely and in line with the turn of the water (which seems to look exactly like the picture above), partially in the water, completely out of the water but in line with where the water turns, etc. but nothing seems to create the terrace.
I also had problems with this one. As @sideshowmrt2 stated, try to put the river first. And make the river thw same shape as the house. Then try to align the house. Take it only 1 row forth or back at a time and the terrace will appear if you hit the right spot. You don't need more houses for this to work.
Thanks for the advice (and convincing me to keep trying because it was possible without more houses). I'm still not sure what I was doing wrong (I guess maybe I was one square off), but I finally got it to work. Hopefully the rest will be easier now. That said, the area for cramming in all of these bonus items really should be bigger to account for the area behind the museum that's obstructed from view by the museum's height.
Yeah, but the max bonus for the area is 20% so you don't have to keep filling the area.
True, but it just seems cramped already for having to account for water tiles for the gondola and for the grand canal homes to border (if you want terraces). I'm already looking forward to the end of the event so I can have greater freedom with the museum's placement.
