Before I start this post is 100% speculation as it I made it up not my normal speculation, as in I "speculated" this content therefore it is happening.
Last year I predicted ghosts and "night mode" sorta it was foggy.
I think this year the fog will come back with werewolves. That way we can get Werewolf Flanders and send him on "Late Night Fog Walks"
Thanks spAnser! I've missed your speculation posts. 8)DIrishB wrote:
Maybe just their opinion? Or a preference for The Simpsons? Or the fact that FG-TQfS releases so much content (which is a good thing) they have nowhere near enough land to place everything (a bad thing). TSTO certainly releases content at a slower rate, but that's preferable to people such as myself since I can afford to be a completist with TSTO and actually have room to place everything due to that extra time and plenty of land made available (even from the very start). FG-TQfS, great as it is, arguably releases too much content for even premium players/completists to keep up with everything, and there's certainly no way to display it all (since the developers continue to make the boneheaded decision to release more land AFTER events are over, instead of before or just as they begin, which is the logical approach), forcing you to keep a large amount of items in your inventory (which becomes a pain in and of itself when trying to find a particular item due to all the other stuff).
And unfortunately that's only going to get worse, as the Tinyco developers have essentially indicated they'll never have enough land to place everything they've released, and continue to release on a weekly basis. That may hurt them regarding completist players, since there's not much point... why spend money buying everything if much of it has to be stored in your inventory anyway?
So just the land issue alone makes TSTO superior to FG-TQfS in my eyes. Granted FG-TQfS certainly beats TSTO regarding regular updates and new content, but they've already shown the downside to that flood of content.
But that's just my two cents.
Not to get off topic, but personally, after I got used to storing things and re-designing regularly, I stopped minding the land issue on FGTQFS. It's nice to be able to store buildings and decos without having to worry about losing characters or bonus %.
In TSTO, you pretty much have to keep almost everything out in your town. As a result, once you've maxed out your level and land, most towns (like mine) remain stagnant and change very little with each update. It is a very one-and-done kind of feeling. FG gives a lot more of a town-building experience simply because you always have to re-design things.
I've even gotten over storing premium buildings. The way I see it, their primary objective was to speed up winning prizes / characters. If I don't think it fits my town town well, I just store it, knowing I can always put it out later when a re-design calls for it. Same with decos--my massive demon stewie had been sitting in my inventory from the instant I got him. I finally got to put him out, front-and-center, for Halloween. Ultimately, it got better after I stopped being a completionist with everything on display and became more a la carte about things.eltoncc wrote:

The update hasn't hit yet, more than likely it'll hit in your evening hours...efin98 wrote:

I remeber that back home I was getting the updates between 4-7 that means that we may have at least three to six more hours.
And thank you spAncer! Bummer that the files are not accessible anymore. At first I thought it was the change of software until it became apparent that EA had enough. Bo idea though. It was making it fun! Speculating and waiting for months.... Oh the good old days...efin98 wrote:
