How to use the Elf Bottler (with video)

I find it easier to tap them since you have to hover exactly over them to catch them anyway.

The only time I find the prize helpful is in congested areas where there is a lot of money floating for neighbors or if the elf is behind something.

You don't need to long press on an elf, just on the screen. It's main reason is to help you get all of them, including ones hiding behind buildings and such, so you don't miss any. :)

Stop the game, sleep your device. Clean the screen.

Wash your hands.

Back to the game...

Make sure there are no cash, XPs, bottles, etc. Let them collect.

Tap gently and hold over an empty spot making sure not to jiggle so the screen twitches. No buildings, decorations, etc. Wait for the buzz and yellow lightning bolts.

I only use the zapper to clear up elves that congregate around the cannon upon logging in. I use the x-ray technique to get the ones in my town. The zapper is too much of a PITA and the collection radius is too small, imo.

*** UPDATE *** On my S4 I went through the entire town in about 1 minute!!!! The ability to do so on myiPad3 was impossible. Also, I was able to utilize my stylus, on the S4, and again, I covered the entire town, and zapped all the elves in a minute or less!!! I cannot do this on my iPAd3, it stops, and many times the elves are right beneath my finger and still fly off... grrrrrrrrrrrrr. If the elf bottler worked as well on the iPad3 as it does on the S4 I would be tickled pink!!!

I just now got the zapper on my S4 account, and the system works perfectly. I am even using my stylus.

For the person asking about devices:

iPad3 - playing since game came out, level 48 (obviously) totally tricked out town,(desperately need more space) had difficulty getting it to work on this system, mostly just click individually, and after collecting the 20 elves prefer to use individual clicks.

S4 - playing since Oct 2013, level 48, just got the elf bottler, and it works as should.


I dont know if it is the device, or the fact I have a totally full device which caused the difficulty in getting the elf bottler to work on the ipad3. I always have to remove things, to add anything, as have been at max space for well over a year on the ipad3, the S4 I am building and not buying any donuts, so less everything.

This still doesn't work for some of us. I've used this type of Zapper in this game before and had no problems. For some reason it just isn't working this time. EA needs to fix this

Hold it, and rub your tablet with your finger... Clean your tablet screen with your finger is the best way to zap elves! :mrgreen:
