I spent a lot of time designing it, have some donuts left did not use any for this event (again I don't gamble my donuts) and I was thinking of buying more as a gift from me to me for Mother's Day in order to buy a couple of nice buildings to add to my town... I don't know anymore the last 3 events were so disappointing especially this one. Worst event ever for the players (not EA, they made loads of money).

I've got 9 donuts left and once I get one more from visiting my neighbors (when the game allows, as it crashes almost after every visit) I'll buy a basket and I'm done buying donuts. Back to freemium for me.

Much nicer thing to buy with 150 donuts: Frink's lab with Frink, Krustylu Studios with SideShow Mel, Community Center with Jasper, Cracker Factory with LuAnn (that unlocks the Fleet a Pita) and all this GUARANTEE no spinning anything, just saying don't want to be mean or anything.

No. You're not being mean. It's the truth. I could have bought several other things instead and I wouldn't have to worry about chance but, I figured after so many spins of the Golden box I would have at least gotten One of the items that I wanted and they will be gone soon. Where as the others will still be there to buy at a later date.
I know I've opened at least 20 golden boxes before I bought the golden eggs so I figured my chances would have been pretty good. But no... Oh well, live and learn.

I'm in the same boat. I'm a premium player too. It's pretty frustrating to play the event from day one and still be several prizes away. I purchased both egg generators on day one, visited friends daily, and I continuously ran characters on egg hunting tasks.

I was lucky enough to finish my common color (blue) after 34~ boxes, but I still haven't gotten Chirpy Boy/Bart Jr. after 40+ pink boxes. I've been able to open about 18-20 gold boxes and I'm happy to have Father Sean & Bunny #24601...but it's crazy I haven't even gotten the Kodos Topiary yet. I'm holding out hope to get Shary Bobbins/Hugs Bunny in the next 2 days before I use donuts.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I've been speeding up the carrots with Witch Marge for extra eggs.

couldnt have said it better myself man.. andddddd im playing on a Galaxy Note 3, which runs this lovely, beautiful OS called KitKat which is awesome, if u attempt to play TSTO on this wonderful OS, amazing things happen which u never thought possible!! divine intervention-esque crashing like ppl have only spoken about in legends of the future of days past!

not only this guys, but we are talking about limited time items and very cool ones.. Hugs Bunny, Sharry Bobbins, come on!! we all want them and its nice to think that if we spend donuts but not quite that many, we will get them! those other premium items we can get anytime we want.

I said I wouldn't do this but in the name of science and I've already purchased the donuts I'm going to buy the 9 spins for 50 donuts. I already have 300 golden eggs. Here Goes:
spin 1 Kang (already had a kang)
spin 2 Easter Gate- big surprise forget how many I already have
Spin 3 250 blue eggs, my common color
spin 4 yay more pastel fences
sin 5 another Easter gate
spin 6 250 pink eggs
spin 7 pastel fences
spin 8 another kang
spin 9 another Easter gate
and now I have 350 gold eggs
ended up with enough pink eggs for a spin and won my millionth beach towel
still no shary or father sean

OK, I am older (not old!), so this may why to me this event is like when I put lets say 20 dollars a week aside for my vacations, I could also use the same 20 dollars to buy lottery tickets because hey I could win money and take a big big vacation. Chances are, I will have much nicer vacations if I don't buy the lottery tickets even if they will not be as fancy as the one I was dreaming taking with a winning lottery ticket.

WHen i first started playing Tapped out i was excited and having so much fun, as time goes on these rng grind fests are getting worse.
there new way of doing events are not fun and has left a bad taste in many peoples mouths.

seriously a rng event that you have to grind for to get currency but not one currency 3 currencies, with small rng chances.

i buy doughnuts and i have all the prem items, i pay my dues and give back because i love tapped out.

But this luck wheels need to stop, people are already spending time tapping, visiting neighbours working for there prizes then after maybe one or two spins a day they get a fence, after fence after fence.
Ea lied and said you can get all the items in this event by not having to buy donuts for eggs, and with this last ninja update they added the golden eggs to buy... really. so you cant finish this event if you don't buy the eggs which is why they was put into the cash shop.

but its so quite now because this event has pushed people away and more are now playing family guy which is sad.

don't push your players away EA, stop being greedy and stop with these grind fests. that people work hard for and rewarded with nothing.
