Not true, the simpsons mt rushmore is in the mountains. The monorail pass goes thru the mountains.
The homerlayas is an upgrade to the mountain range, not an additional item to be placed there. Similarly, the monorail tunnel is an add-on to the range that facilitates passage from one area to the other like the SH entrance does. They need to be there. The sign does not.
I get the sign does not need to be their but it is on the mountain range in the show it logically should go there
I don't think there are too many people playing the game who are concerned with building an accurate replica of Springfield. It's a "slippery slope" argument anyway. There's no such thing as Krustyland on the Simpsons, there was never a Pin Pals bowling alley, Shapes gym is a separate building in Tapped Out but it's in Android's Dungeon on the show, Stradivarius Cain is a movie character and a figment of Homer's imagination but he's a playable character in the game. It goes on and on.
There are plenty of inaccuracies when comparing Tapped Out content to the show itself if you're looking for them but, for most players, it's not a concern because the game is more about creativity and building your own Springfield rather than accurately recreating the town which is practically impossible.
I get why you'd want the sign on the mountains (personally, I'd like it there just to save space) but at the same time I just don't think it's that big a deal either. To each his own, I guess.
