I don't think this is going to be too helpful but i see what you are trying to do.
I am making snakes now but it changes every day. Tomorrow it will be bunnies and then the next day skeletons

it is easy enough to find neighbors that have the item you need as everyone are on different schedules

This is why I said this is not for long-term relationships, the person who asked for the add will tap the nightmares maybe drop some fearless terrors and unadd the person, so their is space for another neighbour if needed

Really not trying to poo-poo your strategy here but it hasn't seemed hard at all to do at least 1 upgrade a day. At the rate we're going I'm think 2 a day should be possible in the near future. Seems like a lot of effort for just a scant few terrors.

To be honest, in general I like the concept of "flings" for mutual benefit (ahem), but it does seem like a lot of trouble just to get three of the specific things you need. The effort of searching out nightmares in friends' towns is barely worth it to begin with, let alone posting it here, waiting for a yes, sending an invite, going to the town, and then unfriending. It would be different if the payoff was higher or if they were rare enough to make it worthwhile.

The formless nightmares are the much bigger deal, and those aren't even limited by the 24-hour clock. You just have to choose friends you're reasonably sure will tap them in a reasonable time, and return the favor.

I've been to your town and dropped 2 terrors before you were full, I'll drop another 10 in a minute if you can get in to clear it thank you.

I guess this is worth more to me (a player that can only collect two rounds of stories a day) because I don't want to waste one collection on nightmares that would be more valuable at the next level, if you get what I'm saying.

I though about staring a similar thread where we have one thread and people post what they are generating ( I'm generating snakes right now PS). You could look at the time stamp and if it's your neighbor visit that town. But Not sure it would work and it could become the longest thread ever. The lag on the loading screen when visiting friends is killing me.
