I think anybody who buys Donuts gets hosed.

1.) You don't get more land to put the excess of buildings.
2.) Buildings you get are often eventually discounted.
3.) You aren't rewarded with any sort of "Thank you" gift from EA.

im new, but i think I've read that what you're doing is known on the interwebs as "trolling". why not instead just throw some raw meat into a dog kennel?

but ill answer your Q seriously anyway...

my problem with the premium play of this game, is there is no "maximum out of pocket." without a top end limit, you could spend indefinitely. which could be ok IF the items for sale weren't like $20 each, but instead like $1 each.

its because of this that i refuse to buy anything. why start down a bottomless pit?

YOUR reasons seem trivial to me however...
- a reward for buying something? that's rare anywhere. you expect a free sundae when you buy a happy meal too? of course not.
- a discount later doesn't negate that you got what you wanted when you wanted it. you paid for the immediate gratification. that stuff wears off fast, especially when you're used to it, doesn't it!
- everyone deals with the limitations of real estate, it's a part of the game. that's like complaining your hit would have been a home run if the back wall wasn't so far away!

really though. expectations for a GAME seem awful high. THEIR GOAL IS TO MAKE MONEY and provide some Simpsons-themed fun. NOT PERSONALLY ENTERTAIN EACH PLAYER TO THEIR UTMOST SATISFACTION.

why should people get a gift for buying stuff? They get what they wanted to pay for.
If you go to the supermarket and buy something, do you expect to get a gift from them?

Thank you for being the logical one! :D

    +1

you will never know. Dream up some imaginary and arbitrary reason, you will probably be right anyway

Makes me nostalgic for James Joyce.
  • Actually yes.

The more you buy at the supermarket, the more coupons you get. At least give discounts to Donut buyers. I'm not one though, so it doesn't matter.

As for a 15 "acre" park with ALL BUILDINGS, I'm sorry, your town must look dreadful/crammed as a mother.

Actually they do give discounts, here's how one day there will be a character walking around town with a donut in a bubble over his head his name is Gil when you click on him he will tell you he has a deal for you it'll either be donuts half off, more donuts when you buy, or a premium item package deal.

Actually it's more like 30 acres and that's half what it was.

That applies to everybody though, not just Donut buying loyalists.
