The walkthrough lists these as two separate sections, but this could be incorrect. The walkthrough is not always completely accurate, especially when an update is new like this, and the chronological order may not be correct. Just to let you know, my game has done the same thing. I got to part five and then it started the Krusty section of the update. I am almost finished with the 3rd part of the Krusty section, so we will see what happens when I make it through that. I was wondering the same thing as OP.

Mine did the same then jumps back to Roger after the letter writing quest

The one LPNintendoITA did was like the one I had to do.

My Itchy and Scratchy task unlocked early. Myers is enjoying a cigar, and already sent the kids to watch their favorite show. Probably will keep them there until that task comes up and have a free completion. Or maybe send them again :)
