Is the new 4-hour GMO Pomato crop permanent?

I've been saying adamently over the last few weeks that all original free and premium character tasks are in need of a major change to freshen up the game like the FP update did :)
A lot of us have been saying that for quite some time, a lot of the original characters could do with some new tasks for sure :) The 1hr KEM tasks could be dropped to 30mins or dropped completely to give us new ones for example
