It's to help with the monorail update that just started, I suspect that once you have completed the 5 weeks and got all the prizes then it'll swap back to giving out money again.

I have all the monorail stuff from the original event to and my Lisa recycling centre is doing the same as yours, I too only need the other tunnel but I'm also looking forward to the bonus donuts from week 2, 3 and 4.
