- I think once you reach a certain size it can become really daunting to redesign your town. I was always moving things around at the start but moving all those shrubs individually now makes me shudder, I'd love to start again with a decent design but it can take nearly an hour to move a few houses around with that stupid autoselect thingy that selects every single item in turn apart from the one you want.
- I try to design one small section at a time. I just moved Cletus's farm (again) since he was put in on level one, I had him in a really lame place... Now he's out in the sticks where he belongs.
I think it's way easier to redesign by storing everything I need to move and prep the new area... I'm certain most of the level 36 players have figured this out by now... I hope. - Yes, I'm having the motivation bug as well. I felt a surge to redesign was probably like 90% of the way to being done. Then I stopped. Then a new level. Then another level. Now Halloween. Now a new strip of land. I'm SLOWLY getting back to that 90% (with the new types of buildings some areas had to be completely moved/expanded to new areas).
I don't think I can handle a full redesign. At least not anytime soon unless we get that feature to "group" decorations and buildings together and can move entire plots together.
If I ever do another redesign, I now know to put areas I'm 100% satisfied with and those that don't need to expand in a location where I won't be moving them again. It was a mistake to put some of my favorites by the borders of the map where new land can be added. - Feeling the same...although with the arcade and bumper car release i did make make a entertainment complex using sir putts alot the aztec theater the arcade and i made a bumper car ride.
EDIT i also threw in a small 3d grandstand for the bumper car ride. I need to do something with finks lab, the ufo, the crash site, the raygun and ghost zapper next. There just sitting there bunched together waiting on inspiration. mpwarner wrote:
Waiting for more decorations as all my designs end up looking the same :?
Yes! Would really like some more stuff to use in gardens for starters.- Decorating's almost all the fun for me in Tapped Out.

absolutelly :D- Agree with the OP, moreover a further level of zoom would be helpful...
When I plan a redesign I would like to be able to have a global view of SF, while at the max zoom out level I can see just a small part...
This zoom level was fine at the beginning, but with all these land expansions it is now too limited...
(Ps sorry for the grammar... This is not my first language...)
