- I was highly disappointed when old decorations and buildings came back for a 3rd year last Halloween. Also if you re-release everything at some point where is the guaranty that as an old player you can enjoy certain things that show loyalty towards the game? Also where is your reward for keeping up for about 3 years now?
Year after year they lower sometimes the prices of premiums or there are instances like when they gave Mr. Plow as a free prize with the wheal of doom last year. So my opinion is no you dont have to re-release certain things.
I was also bothered when they re-released the cool house with cool Homer. They actually changed the payout f the house to that of the common brown house! Not to mention that it is now regenerating cash as often as the brown house. I find that insulting for someone who at some point decided to change towns buildings and took in consideration the time each building generates cash.
In conclusion the Mapple Store and the Springfield Falls must stay where they are and thats in the old files. Otherwise whats the point? - I started playing on Halloween '13, so i missed out on a few things, as Springfield Falls, Mapple Store, Cool Brown House and twice on Rex Banner.
I don't mind it that much (maybe Rex Banner, but not the buildings).
Because re-releasing everything is not really fair for the longtime (beginning) players. Maybe re-release something every 2/3 years. That way we get something new every year and then, if you missed out in it, it will be back in 2/3 years
Every other year is too fast, in my opinion. - I like that things come back. Some of the limited stuff I don't really know if I want it or not so I let it go knowing that if I later think of a way that it will benefit my SF I can grab it the next time it comes around. But I also totally understand the people who have the old stuff and want it to be special. I get that. So I think when they bring something back they should make the new one slightly different. It should be close enough to the original to satisfy the aesthetic people were wanting but different enough to tell the original from the new. That way everyone wins.

The point is to rebuild Springfield. If you develop a superiority complex about it, that's your own problem, not the point of the game.- barryriddl474Seasoned Newcomer

The point is to show some consideration for newer players. Unfortunately, some only consider themselves...*cough, cough.*
Exactly. Surprisingly, my game plays exactly the same, regardless of who has what. If a day one player popped in and paid for everything ever released on the first day, what do I care?
But, for those who already have many older items, you/we received them for free or virtually nothing. The newer players have to pay a premium. THIS would be what I disagree with.
Sorry, not fond of the elitist attitude. - I don't think old items should be re-released for new players. It's a bummer that we missed out on some items, I'm a day one player that had my game get erased I lost SFF the Mapple store and the worst of all Barney and the Bowelerama that was given out the first xmas event in TSTO history. I was irate but these things were released for a short period and it lets you know who the senior players are. If we all got everything we wanted in life what fun would that be.

Senior players? To be honest, I don't judge a player based on how long they've been playing. To me, a player who has been playing longer isn't always a better player/neighbor/person/forum member/athlete/cook.
For those of you who think you sit above the rest, enjoy the air up there  - Let me get this straight- people are willing to pay money to get items that YOU got for free, people that you don't know and you aren't neighbors with, and items that now come with PREMIUM output in XP and money- all because you want to be "exclusive"?
This makes so sense. It's their money, if they want to waste it on old items then let them. How does it affect you? Are they "stealing" from you? Are they "taking away from the game" when it in no way impacts what you are doing in your town?
I just don't follow that logic  People want to pay let them pay, you already have it so why does it bother you? And if it does that's your own problem.
