max item count up to 9600

up another 100 items. looks like the increase WAS baked into the update, and just wasn't scheduled to hit until today....

Thank you @tapebelt I am actually playing in a way that I need to analyse the value of each item before I place it. Lately I ended up storing some decorative fences that offers only vanity.

It's been costing me donuts, but I've been combining lower yielding xp items together in a group and storing them. Then, I purchase higher yielding items to replace them. For instance, I just eliminated a large majority of balloons I had. They take up lots of visual space and don't yield very much xp.

Yeah, I am also storing stuffs that yield low percentages like the icebergs.

You know what takes up time? Finding all the stuff hidden behind the buildings lol :D

I just now got a 7800 warning... Why is mine not 9150??

The game issues periodic warnings (I don't remember the specific item counts associated with each of the warnings) until you hit the hard cap.

it's every 150 items after you hit the initial warning, so the specific item counts change each time the cap is increased.

Thanks for the info, @tapebelt . Jeez. I knew the increment triggering the message was small, but not that small. I wish they’d increase it. What I find happening on occasion during redecorating that involves iterative storing/restoring of items is the triggering (and re-triggering) of a warning for the same item count. Annoying.

I know it’s been suggested a zillion and one times, but I wish the game developers would simply allow the user to access the current number of items in her/his town along with the current value of the hard cap. It doesn’t seem like an impossible request.

agree with everything you said. i'm used to figuring out my item count with the warnings now, but it definitely feels unnecessary to make it a mystery to players. seems like ea doesn't want us planning ahead in this game....
