Christmas gave us 5 buildings to go to consumerism. The Present depot, Costington's, the mall, Santa's Workshop, (the one that is a community prize) and Claus Co.
There are 13 stores in level play that go to consumerism. (6 from SP alone!) 3 premiums, and 10 limited times (including Christmas)
for level 37, you need 252 consumerism points. Which depending on rounding, is either 25 stores, or 26. So, if you're starting at Christmas, you'll have 18 of the 25 stores needed. Which means, if you want to max it out, you'll have to add some KEM's. My main town has 5 spread out and decorated. I think it works. Though, at this point I don't need them all.

So, in conclusion, I AGREE! Christmas was very generous to Consumerism. BUT I too would love a cash decoration you could easily hide to help this rating. Because you just know, Consumerism requirement is going to go up when the mysterious level 38 finally releases!
