Mystery box users

Well, I probably have quite a high tolerance for grinding to meet my personal targets, although I'm sure that there are plenty of equally or more motivated players (e.g. some with 5 figure multipliers)!

I've just done a quick stock-take and worked out the following estimated breakdown of my multiplier:

News Van 2200%
Jet Engine Bike 1400%
I&S Billboard 1100%
BBQ Pig 500%
Tennis Court 144%
Beach Hideaway 100%
Wailing Wall 65.25%
Nuclear Warhead 24.75%
Flags 31.25%
Elf Home 10%

other items 425%

This doesn't include a further 154% hidden multiplier from Springfield Heights buildings.

At least 10,000 multiplier.
Having them in my friends list, ive noticed that they have a ton of I & S Billboards, News Vans, Wailling Walls and most of their town is pure multiplier items with an impressive house farm.
Every event they often buy all the items within the first hours.
(this is not including the XP generator)

When Jabba shared tips and strategies about how he got his high multiplier, there were some Debbie Downers that tried to shout him down, about how he was taking advantage of EA and how EA needs the money to keep the game going. There were even some accusations of cheating and how he was not playing the game the right way.

That seems kind of silly to me...sure, I want to optimize my strategy to increase my multiplier but I've also spent well over a thousand dollars on this game (possibly even over $2000)! If anything, I'm sure the most hardcore grinding players are also the ones most likely to occasionally spend money on it as well. After all, you need many thousands of donuts to get all the good premium items.

Maybe, but not necessary. I don't spend anything on mobile games, including this one.

So all your multiplier comes from using KEM farming to buy mystery boxes? That and getting donuts from minigames and such...

As above, not just mystery boxes, but yes farming and dedicated play.

I've got a couple Lard Lads scattered around my Springfield the rest are stored and that's where they'll stay along with the majority of the hideous Springfield Heights buildings as they simply just take up to much space.

Don't you have to display the Heights buildings to keep the real estate value? I have ZERO room in my SH area as it's taken up by SH buildings everywhere. It looks messy and I hate it. If I stored everything, I'd have way more room to build regular houses and stuff without having o buy more land, but as I said, I assumed that doing so would take my value (and hidden multiplier bonuses) down.

Last question - do trees count as items toward your maximum? I keep getting warnings that I have over 7100 buildings (right now I have slightly over 7700) and the game may not run as well. However, I design my city as realistically as possible and as such have many, many trees. If I sell or hoard some, can I drop back below the warning limit?
