Neighbor Visit Frustrations!
Also having this problem, plus it seems neighbors are getting notice my town is full but I seem to have cleared all Feds.

Is it my device or is something else going on? I've tried to hard close etc. but that doesn't seem to make it any better. Any help out there for me? I'm missing out on presents and donuts! Boo!
I am having the same problem with the game crashing many times while trying to visit neighbors (playing on an android device). It has happened before in the past, and eventually after a few weeks of frustration it goes away as mysteriously as it started. If I remember right, last year when this happened was around the valentines event, and after it was cleared up on android devices, people with IOS devices started to complain about crashes.
And by the way, I am having the same problem on 3 different android devices, so its not your device.
