Short answer; No. Most players do some sort of rotation. First 30 today, next 30 tomorrow, and next 30 the next. This gives you the maximum event currency.
I keep it real simple, I only have 30 neighbors to begin with. After you get all the friend prizes, anymore seems excessive to me. Just my $0.03 worth
