Unfortunately it appears not to be a bug as they altered the code that stops the phone going into sleep mode whilst playing game for some reason.

It must be that something is wrong in the game, because (as far I know) all android users have problems with this issue since the thoh update was released. So it can't be an error in android of some kind.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear, what I was trying to say is that it's not a bug with the sleep timer on the game the makers deliberately altered the code to shorten the time allowed before the sleep timer activates, it's listed here on the 4th of October release https://forums.ea.com/en/discussion/82011/what-changed-with-the-treehouse-of-horror-xxvii-updates-update-10-4-server-update/p1 I've no idea why the did it or if at some point they will charge it back, for now the only option is to lengthen the time it takes for the device to enter sleep mode on the device itself.
