It does seem odd to me that Father Sean is the only Easter item they're offering.
I didn't even know they were offering Father Sean. I won him during Easter, so he doesn't show up in my store. They're offering Father Sean, but not Shary Bobbins? What the heck?!! They know how badly we all wanted Shary. I bet they're going to put her in a future event. I also think that they're probably not going to offer the "yard sale" stuff again for a long time if they're giving us the option to buy them now.Jblue8298 wrote:

It's a LEGO store, pretty much. They can't call them "LEGOs", so it's the "Block-O Store". It was available to win during Easter this year. It's a much coveted building by those who didn't win it.Tara1qt wrote:

Most people got the Blocko Store, though. If you didn't get the Blocko Store, you probably didn't play enough.
The items people are missing most are Shary Bobbins and Father Sean. There was no freemium way to collect all the characters. I'm guessing EA might be saving Shary for another yard sale. Maybe these yard sales can be a 3 - 6 month thing.
I call BS on that! I practically played the game CONSTANTLY during the Easter event.. I just happened to have the other color as my main color and wasn't lucky enough to get it. I have a TON of other crap from Easter to prove I played my @ss off. I did get Father Sean and Johnny Fiestas and a couple other decent items but ended the event Blocko Store-less.. And through no fault of my own...
When talking about Easter I would be careful of telling someone they didn't play enough and thus didn't really earn the prize.. That was the biggest frustration - you could put in a crap ton of effort and get crap in return.. Or be super lucky and get something good.. Other events the more you played the more you earned from a set list of prizes ensuring everyone had the opportunity to earn every prize. Easter was the more you play the more chances you got to spin a box to get a random prize.
You do have a point. Easter was not like the Stonecutters event. I played CONSTANTLY and I did get most stuff (Blocko, Johnny Fiestas, Fr. Sean, the flying bunny, Banana Dictatorship), but I didn't get the Egg Council Guy or Hugs Bunny or Shary Bobbins. I ended up with tons of fences and ponds and egg piles. So, even if you played non-stop, you could still miss out on prizes that other people got. It was all chance based. Lots of people didn't complete the event. Lots of people didn't even come close. I'm glad that they changed it up for the Stonecutters event. Most people were able to finish that one.Jblue8298 wrote:

You're a sneaky one.
I just read your signature and I agree. It's best to just forget about Easter. The memories are too traumatic to rehash. :cry:neuroheart wrote:

Why so much Easter hate?
Please don't get me started.
rAMEN to that!
Most folks had a better chance at seeing the Flying Spaghetti Monster pass by their house than to finish "the event that shall not be named"...tgyberg70 wrote:
I'm lucky to have the Blocko Store. So I wasnt around here for Easter and I actually had fun going after the eggs like crazy. Why so much Easter hate?
I know I'm late to the party but...
None of us can live a normal life after the great EAster Disaster of 2014.- I love that everyone's hatred (mine included) for the Easter event hasn't gone away in the slightest.

It was pretty awful. I'm not really the type to complain about new/free content. But there was definitely a hell of a lot of frustration over the fact that it was chance based. I'm all for putting in the work but I want there to be no question about whether or not I get rewarded for that work. Stonecutters was a great example of how an event should be (though I feel it was a bit long...).
Stonecutters was just about flawless. Actual guaranteed rewards for the work, and the daily puzzles are a great device for keeping it interesting. I thought the length was good, too. I had neighbors who finished a day or two before the end, so it was perfect for them. And I didn't mind the donuts at all.
