It would have been nice if they'd done a hannukah update before the christmas update, because wasn't it an early hannukah this year? Maybe a little menorah event, where if you logged on to light a candle every day for eight days, you got, um, something better than the mystery box.
And yeah, at some point it would be neat if they added Rabbi Krustofski. - stevieortNew SpectatorNo love for Dolph.
- I was really upset there were no Festivus items.
- Jewish people don't celebrate Christmas?
- Considering this wasn't called a Christmas update why would they do anything with other beliefs? People are offended by everything these days, even a silly game.

Exactly, it wasn't a Christmas update. Therefore, it would only make sense to include other characters of non-Christian faiths. We got the Hindu Ice God from the wheel, but it would be awesome to have a Jewish quest or two thrown in with the rest. Anything that brings additional characters and unique buildings is more than welcome for me. :)- As an atheist, I think we should have gotten a Festivus Pole and some angry ranting as we share our grievances.
Get a grip... This has been talked about over and over.... Even the Jews I know don't give a crap about the boredom which is Hanukkah. They yearn for a Christmas tree and most of them have one. I worked in the entertainment Biz in Hollywood for over 2 decades.... I've run into a few Jews. Trust me, none ever tried to covert me into their religion based on how much fun Hanukkah is. Oy vey.
Let's not turn this game into one long religious celebration after another. Adamcayce wrote:

Why would christians, Muslims, atheists and the rest want to do a Jewish belief? I wouldn't have wanted to log on and light candles. They didnt do a Christmas update either - they kept it commercialized (Santa, spend money, buy presents, winter yeti, plowing snow, holiday tree)
So they were inclusive to everyone.
What are you talking about!? Better yet, are you high?
The "holiday season" IS a Christian thing. Christmas is when supposedly Jesus was born and New Years is a count from when Christianity became a religion. That makes both of them CHRISTIAN.
Also just because they made it focus on the commercial aspect of the holiday season doesn't take away from it being Christian. Adding some diversity to a game never hurts either. And also who in their right mind would complain if they added another holiday event to the game (even if it was only 8 days long).
Seriously I have to say that was the stupidest comment I have seen in a while. Like I am not trying to be an a$$hole but what you said can be taken in a very wrong way, not mention it was stupid!Pull_Up_A_Chair wrote:

...as much as I could have a field day with this comment, I'll hold back. I don't want my opinions to come off as anti anything...Adamcayce wrote:

Meh. I'm an atheistic Buddhist, and I wouldn't have any problem lighting candles. I'm on every day, anyway.
They did do a Christmas update, whether they called it that or not. For all the dancing around the word, they timed it as a Christmas event; the double gift bags started on Christmas day, the "holiday donuts" were Christmas donuts, Santa Flanders was a thing, etc. And, as mentioned, the update came well after Hannukah ended. It's silly that they wouldn't name it, but it was definitely about Christmas. (Which is fine, by the way, but they shouldn't call it the holidays if they're going to ignore the holidays that aren't Christmas.)
