Maybe they reached the friend limit, just put your name in all the "add-me" threads.

Chrisbuckley1977 - If you have sent friend requests to many of the regular posters here on the forum, you'll probably find that they, like me already have sufficient friends for how they play the game or are maxed out at 100 friends.
Unfortunately, when a friend request is received and it is declined, we cannot give a reason for doing so. I still feel bad about declining requests although that is all I can do at this stage.
It would be a great improvement if Origin gave a message to the sender that your request could not be sent because the recipient already has 100 friends and at this stage cannot accept any new friends. At least that way you wouldn't have invites being declined or just left pending.
