Good idea. I do the same when placing my nerds. I might leave a single destroyed house near the castles.

Yes, I'm talking about bombed out smoking structures. IE already destroyed by nerds. Leave one or two here or there. I guess placing them by your castles doesn't really work because the game doesn't take you there if they are already attacked.
