If you have Cleatus the football robot, not to be confused with Cletus the Slack-Jawed yokel, you should have at least 1 football field.
"Cleatus is a limited-time character that was released on February 2, 2017, as part of the Football 2017 Promotion. He is unlocked with the first Football Field purchased."

The first Football Field was free during the event so if you have Cleatus you had to have placed at least one. After that for every additional Football Field you want in your Springfield was 10k. At any rate I don't believe we will be seeing it again until next year.
