Is this a joke? You can't get the Shelbyville items without paying real money? That has to be their biggest scam yet for this game....not to mention why would I place Shelbyville items in Springfield ...

Yes, hours of farming does cost you time (a little more time than you seem willing to admit). When I've purchased donuts it has often been in a time when life/work demands were heavy and not worth ignoring for some "life-ruining" fun. Easier to dedicate the time and focus to earning a living and using some of those funds to supplant effort involved with accruing "farming/level hopping" generated funds.
Don't buy things that you aren't willing to take responsibility for having purchased

When you say few, do you mean in fewer hours than it would take you to earn $99.99?
