That seems very strange. Not like you can store anything to end the task - guess you might need to contact EA support.

I sent homer and fallot boy to take care of 2 felons before i went to bed and i woke up to both of them only having 2 minutes taken off the timer. Its counting down now but i think its weird how the timer froze over nite.
