Yeah, up until they cut the payouts, I was playing normally, just sending my nerds out as I got them (and logging in regularly). While I wasn't leading the packs as far as gold count went, I was keeping up fairly well. Once they cut the payouts, and I learned of the glitch, I tried it out twice for the hell of it. Worked like a charm, and let me get the 38000 gold prize a day or two earlier than I otherwise would have... but really not necessary. Just regularly attacking random towns worked quite well, even after they cut the payouts.
Now I'm more or less done. I'll keep attacking, and maybe get a free wall or two for Lisa's castle, but I'm not gonna sweat it.
I am glad there's nothing worth buying with donuts. I can hold out, and maybe Halloween will have something.
