Quickly! Need a short primer on swapping daily task. Thank you.

Quick question. When people talk about "swapping out" when they get their daily task completed, I read that you press the 'X'. Is that the X that then says "Do you really want to dismiss ...?" or ...

Sorry... it must be some UK English V American English thing, I have been using the word 'swap' as that's what seems natural to me, as to me, to skip something means to miss it out altogether whereas in this scenario, it feels like you're swapping one daily task for another... so apologies for any confusion caused on my part...
