Regarding this new Winter "Pagan" event

Seconded for the attempts at restoring sanity.

I find the entire topic very amusing. Jesus was likely born in the summer, it was the Christians themselves who choose to celebrate the birth of Jesus on the pagan holiday of Saturnalia (amoungst others I'm aware). This was done to co-op the celebration, hence I find this event closer to the true nature of the solstice celebration.

If you're feeling outraged, it's only because you're unaware or unwilling to admit the true history of the holiday.

No one is forcing you to play the event. Either keep playing the game as you normally do & ignore the quest line. It's as easy as that. Once the event is over, you will have the opportunity to put the Lumber Mill & Other things in inventory. No one forced you to build the items to begin with. You did that through your own free will. You could have clearly stopped on the first mission.

As someone who is Catholic and proud of it, I would like to point out that Jesus' teachings were of tolerance and love for all of mankind, not just those whose beliefs mirror your own.

But above all, this is a WINTER event. EA are under no obligation to provide a Christmas-themed event. In fact, we should all be happy that they are trying to be inclusive in a fun and friendly (and completely tongue-in-cheek) way.

Hoping everyone enjoys the season, however you choose to celebrate!

Why "move" a topic elsewhere and then essentially create the same topic again that is going to inspire controversial commenting? Why leave the comments opened? That makes no sense.

Most people are not offended by the event’s content, they are just very disappointed that the event is so different than expected. There’s a big difference. I would hope that people have a place to express disappointment in hopes that they might influence positive changes from EA. Thanks.
