Yes they did. I planted corn a week before the carrots and it finished. I definitely received the 45k too.

I think folks are thinking of the pomatoes quest. That quest did not speed up corn for free, but it stayed in your task list so you could finish it whenever your corn was done.

The corn did speed up on growing the carrots for many of us. Sorry if it did not work for you.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I think I remember my corn being sped up for Easter, and I thought this was consistant for all I just think some people have fuzzy memories. I'll admit to this myself frequently.

Either way not all new crops have sped up crops in progress. So far the pattern seems to be limited time crops (roses and carrots) yield a speed up and permanent crops (pomatoes) do not. The next update is probably level 43. If this update includes a new crop and the pattern holds true, we won't have a speed up.

For the record my speculations and memory are often questionable so we'll just have to wait and see. My corn will keep growing regardless. I'm super excited because the wait shouldn't be too much longer :)

So far the pattern for auto-speeding-up the crops is when there is an event. I still have to do that stupid pomatoes quest in my towns. I forgot to do it after Easter, doh :x

Yup yup, enjoyed Easter glitch one month into harvest & now perfectly timed w/next one due 7/31 8)

They did for me at Easter . You need to use the task bar. When a new planting task comes up select it . Don't cancel the corn by tapping on the farm. Btw, this only works for special events.
