The reason, I think, is simple from EA's perspective, the more time you spend in game, the more likely you are to spend real money. i can't see them doing anything that would decrease the amount of time players spend playing

I would insert a phrase to one of your sentences: The more time you spend in the game the more likely you are to spend real money except for when you are tapping anything other than the "Get More" button.
