I always guessed it could have been a great expantion. New area (maybe next to SH) a lot of new buildings, new characters, maybe new game dynamics (characters moving only in "their" hometown, rivalities between them and so on). And what we have? Just copule of decorations for tons of money? Why?? I dont neither know where i should place the Manhattan statue... of course it doesn't make sense in Springfield so, where? I don't feel the need to have it because i don't have a place for it. very disappointing

It should be. There's a lot of potential.Bart/Milhouse/Martin/Nelson equivalents, the dad and his pals, the grandpa, power plant and the owner, female groundskeeper Willie, Joe's bar and Joe, Shelbyville city limit sign, some houses and other shops.

Shelbyville could have been a really solid event and I'm way disappointed it turned out to be nothing but super premium items.I'm hoping Heretic Homer is just a mini-event and they're not going to try and stretch it into another major event like they did with the pagans. If they try and stretch it out for a full month; they're either out of ideas or have had their creative dept downsized.

Do we know this is it? Maybe it's possible there's more to come and this is just a teaser?

We simply don't know yet if it is a wasted opportunity. They don't usually let us in on what's coming until it gets here. I would almost rather they open up the rest of SH before they do another town anyway but that's just me. I also wouldn't stress over the gifts with purchase thing. It's a common practice in retail this time of year in giving a free gift if you purchase something you were most likely going to buy anyway. Most times you can later get the exclusive free gift for sale separately.

I'll repost this here....My assumprion is that the Q4 revenue for the game is down and thhe Christmas event is not driving players to buy enough doughnuts, so they pulled some Shelbyville items/content into 2016 and attached it to dnut purchases to boost sales.

Im sure there's morer to Shelbyvill than this, and these items will show up in the future for purchase as premium items.
