Shopkeeper Challenge November 10th issue

The only thing that I can think of is that you did not go into the shopkeeper challenge before you defeated him. It seems that no matter what the challenge is, nothing you do will count toward it until you visit the challenge screen and read it (and possibly hit the 'do it' button, but I don't think that part is necessary).
